Flannelette Sheets

A major portion of daily life is consisted on our sleep. It effects on are daily performance that how easily and comfortably we sleep. Not only the bed itself but also a bed sheet determines a complete and quite sleep for us. So a comfortable bed sheet with bed itself is mandatory. The most comfortable bed sheet which can guarantee an easy and quite sleep is flannelette sheet.

Flannelette is a type of fabric widely and particularly used for bed sheets. This fabric has the unique ability that provides nothing but softness and warmth which makes it the best option to keep especially in a cold night. Flannelette is entirely different from other types of flannel fabric as it is more soft and light than any of them. Normally flannelette fabric is woven from pure cotton but sometimes it is made by a combination of cotton and synthetic fibres just like polyester. Flannelette can also be woven from wool.
Initially flannelette sheets were not so much popular as these were considered cheap and low quality fabric when compared with satin and pure silk. These days flannelette is more famous among consumers because of its traits like durability and softness. More and more consumers tend to buy flannelette instead of silk or satin sheets.
Texture of a flannelette sheets is exactly like a flannel bed sheet the only difference is the thickness of flannel. Flannelette is tend to be more thinner, light weight but warm at the same time that consumers prefer a flannelette rather than a flannel to use at homes as bed sheets or bed spreads. The preference of consumer for flannelette is just because of its ability to give a feeling of warmth and softness but without bearing any weight.

If someone is ready to buy a flannelette sheet then a question comes to mind that how should it be cleaned? Washing a flannelette sheets is something not very easy as it should be handle with care so its softness could not be harm. First of all it should never wash with warm water and a very hard detergent powder. To maintain and protect its softness you should wash it with a very light detergent and use of fabric conditioner or softener is a must. Sheets should not be folded and kept in a cupboard before its complete dryness.
